Karate Champ is one of the earliest 8-bit fighting games ever released in arcades, and this is your chance to get the port for the Nintendo entertainment System (NES)! Where are most fighting games have health bars, Karate Champ features gameplay that is supposed to be more like a martial arts competition. You will try to score two points on your opponent before they manage to score two points on you. Hits are usually worth a half a point. When a fighter scores two points the round is over. The first to win two rounds is the victor. The winner then gets to participate in a bonus game. Fights take place in different locations, which adds to the games quirky feel.
